Happiness

It’s been proved that our mood affect our productivity. When you’re sad, you generally tend to not want to do anything, but when you’re happy, you could do almost anything in the world. Happiness though, is hard to generate by itself. Many of us fail to be happy because we’re asking too much from ourself. We want to be perfect and we want everything to be as well. People who maintain such mentality are those you see looking at the ground when they walk. You want to be one of the few who look up in the sky, wondering what life has to give.

Find one thing that makes you happy
If you haven’t took the time to find one yet, do it now, find something which you enjoy and you think would help you get back on the track, may it be a sport, an activity you like, or a show you like to watch.

I hate the saying which says there are others who are worst. I hate it especially because it’s inneffective, here’s why: when we say we’re having trouble, we are looking for answers to our problem, not someone that tells you there’s other people who have worse problems. Their problems is theirs, yours is yours, and you want yours to be fixed. That’s why you’re asking for help. Whenever someone comes for help, don’t ever give him the answer that there’s someone else who’s having it worst, it won’t help him a bit, not even psychologically. It’ll just tell him he felt into that trap where others did as well and he’s unable to get out of it.

How you can become happier
Everyone’s looking for ways to get happier than they actually are. In fact, it’s not really hard to do. Instead of looking at the events which didn’t ended like you expected they would, think about those who ended better than what you expected. Remember your achivements, your strenghts, your qualities. This is all part of what is called positive reinforcement and positive self-talk.

Positive self-talk objective is to make sure you aren’t sabotaging yourself. Many do it inconsciously and they suffer from it’s impact. By giving you a positive message, you’re simply reinforcing the good image you have of yourself. There’s no need to bait on your negative points because they’ll dissapear with time as the positive points will get even stronger. But if you keep self-sabotaging, those negative aspects will take really longer to dissapear. The good thing from not self-sabotaging is that you can only grow. Learn from your errors and keep going forward.

Never EVER let others control your feelings
I’m sure you’ve read that and said, “well, I don’t let others control my feeling, why are you talking about that?”, well, because they actually do. If you’re out with some friends and suddenly they become angry at you, you’ll reply to their angryness with angryness or fear. They controlled your feeling. Instead, stay cool, ask what happenned all of a sudden, there must be a reason to this drastical mood change. When you feel things are weird, stay calm and just look for clues of what might had happen. You can generally fix things quite fast using this method instead of going all aggressive/passive.

By being in a happy mood, you make sure others enjoy your presence. You have an aura which others can’t get away from because it’s contagious. Keep it up and it’ll grow all by itself!
